1992 16.1H Black Lipizzan

NOTE:

Due to Medical reasons, Jozsef was gelded this spring (2006).  He is well, and should live a long and happy life as a gelding.  We have 2 of his offspring left for sale, (see sales section), and then there will be no more.   He had a very successful career as a stallion, with over 60 youngsters all across the nation, and we thank everyone for their support and concern during his medical problems.

SIGLAVY XI-6 was imported by Blue Fountain Farm to California
from Hungary in the spring of 1996 as an unstarted four-year-old.
He soon started his riding and breeding career and
was very successful in both areas.

He scored extremely well in dressage, he loves to jump, has learned
to drive, has helped herd the neighbor's cattle and is an excellent trail horse.

He is a real ham -- the more people (with cameras, of course), noise
and activity there is around him, the more he puffs-up and performs.

"Jozsef" sired more than 60 foals, both purebred and cross-bred.
All of them are very correctly-built, beautiful movers
with wonderful, calm dispositions.

He crossed extremely well with Thoroughbred, Arabian,
Trakehner, Hanoverian, Paint and Mustang, Morgan and Percheron mares, among others.
Jozsef's unusual Hungarian and Yugoslavian breeding made him an ideal
choice for owners of Lipizzan mares whose breeding is primarily Austrian.
