Training/Lessons - Laurel Meck

Laurel 2.jpg

Laurel began her training in Oregon as a teenager, starting young thoroughbreds that came off the track and placing them in new careers. She has years of experience starting young horses and bringing them along, developing a light, responsive horse that is a pleasure to ride. This passion of advancing young horses has continued throughout her career.

To carry on her education, Laurel left Oregon to ride and compete for Pan Am Silver Medalist Denise Rath, on the east coast in the Three Day Eventing circuit. This gave her first hand experience in the top levels of International Eventing. She then took her first job in California as an assistant trainer working in the Bay Area before starting her own business, Cove Creek Equestrian, in 2011. In 2015 she moved her business to Northern California.

Laurel continues to take her own education very seriously and frequently travels to receive coaching. She then passes on this dedication and fresh experience to her students through her teaching.
